QuickCare “Win an iPad” Stand Competition: Terms and Conditions

1. Promoter
1.1 The Promoter is CareNow Technologies Pty Ltd (ABN 35 663 157 480), trading as QuickCare, of 4/60-70 Parramatta Road, Summer Hill NSW 2130 (“QuickCare”, “we”, “us”).
1.2 This competition is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Early Childhood Australia (ECA), Meta Platforms Inc. (Facebook and Instagram) or LinkedIn Corporation. Entrants release these parties from all liability in connection with the competition.
2. Acceptance of terms
2.1 Information on how to enter and the prize forms part of these terms. By entering, entrants agree to these terms.
2.2 These terms are published at https://www.quickcarehr.com/eca-free-compliance-competition.
3. Eligibility
3.1 Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 or over who attend the ECA National Conference 2026 in Melbourne, Victoria, and who are a director or owner of an approved provider, a nominated supervisor, or a person authorised by an approved provider to act on its behalf (“Eligible Entrant”), in relation to an approved education and care service operating in Australia under the Education and Care Services National Law, as applied in each state and territory (“Eligible Service”).
3.2 Existing QuickCare customers are eligible to enter.
3.3 The following people are ineligible to enter: employees, contractors and directors of the Promoter and its related bodies corporate; members of the judging panel; and the immediate family members of any of these people. “Immediate family member” means a spouse, de facto partner, parent, child, sibling (including step and in-law relationships) or any person who lives in the same household.
4. Competition period
4.1 The competition opens at 9:00am AEST on Wednesday 30 September 2026 and closes at 5:00pm AEST on Saturday 3 October 2026 (“Competition Period”). Entries received outside the Competition Period are invalid.
5. How to enter
5.1 To enter, Eligible Entrants must, during the Competition Period:
(a) follow at least one of QuickCare’s social media accounts: @quickcarehr on Facebook, @quickcarehr on Instagram, or quickcaretalent on LinkedIn. Entrants who already follow one of these accounts meet this requirement; and
(b) visit QuickCare’s stand at the ECA National Conference 2026, Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, 1 Convention Centre Place, South Wharf VIC 3006, scan the QR code displayed at the stand, complete the entry form with the requested details (including the social account name they followed with), and answer the question “What is your centre’s biggest compliance issue?” in 50 words or fewer (“Entry”).
5.2 Entry is only available at QuickCare’s stand. Entries made by people who did not attend the conference, including through a shared or forwarded link, are invalid. The Promoter may ask the winner to confirm their conference attendance before awarding the prize.
5.3 Entrants must still be following at least one QuickCare account when the winner is verified. The Promoter may check this before awarding the prize.
5.4 Only one Entry is allowed per Eligible Service location. If more than one Entry is received for the same location, only the first valid Entry received will be accepted.
5.5 Entries must be the entrant’s own original work. The Promoter may disqualify any Entry that is incomplete, offensive or defamatory, or that infringes the rights of a third party.
5.6 Entries must not include names or identifying information about children, families or staff. Entrants should describe issues in general terms only.
5.7 The Promoter is not a regulator and is not obliged to investigate or respond to matters described in Entries. However, the Promoter may refer information to the relevant authority where required by law or where it reasonably believes a child’s safety or wellbeing is at risk.
6. Game of skill and judging
6.1 This is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winner.
6.2 All valid Entries will be judged on Tuesday 6 October 2026 at 4/60-70 Parramatta Road, Summer Hill NSW 2130, by a panel of two QuickCare representatives with relevant sector and compliance knowledge.
6.3 Entries will be judged on clarity, relevance to the early childhood education and care sector, and the significance of the compliance issue described.
6.4 The Entry the panel judges to be the best will win. If two or more Entries are judged equal, or the panel cannot agree, a senior QuickCare representative who is not a member of the judging panel will make the final decision, applying the criteria in clause 6.3.
6.5 The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
7. Prize
7.1 There is one prize, consisting of:
(a) one Apple iPad 11-inch (A16, 128GB, Wi-Fi, Blue), valued at $599 (RRP, including GST), awarded to the winning entrant personally; and
(b) one month of free access to QuickCare’s Real-Time Compliance plan for one Eligible Service location nominated by the winner, valued at the Promoter’s standard monthly list price for that plan as at 30 September 2026 (including GST), which is available from the Promoter on request.
7.2 If the winner’s Eligible Service is an existing QuickCare customer, the free month will be applied as a one-month credit to that location’s subscription.
7.3 If the winner’s Eligible Service is not an existing QuickCare customer, the free month must be activated by 30 November 2026. It will not automatically convert to a paid subscription, and there is no obligation to purchase once the free month ends.
7.4 Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash. If the specified iPad becomes unavailable, the Promoter may substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
7.5 Use of the QuickCare platform is subject to QuickCare’s App Terms & EULA at https://www.quickcarehr.com/terms.
7.6 The winner is responsible for complying with any gift, benefit or conflict-of-interest policies that apply to them through their employer or organisation, including government, council and not-for-profit policies. If such a policy prevents the winner from accepting the iPad personally, the Promoter may award it to the Eligible Service instead.
7.7 The winner is responsible for seeking their own advice on any tax implications of the prize.
8. Winner notification
8.1 The winner will be notified by phone and email on Wednesday 7 October 2026.
8.2 The winner’s first name, centre name and suburb will be announced on QuickCare’s LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram accounts on Thursday 8 October 2026. The winning Entry will not be published alongside this announcement unless the winner gives prior written consent under clause 9.2.
8.3 The winner must claim the prize by 5:00pm AEDT on Tuesday 20 October 2026. If the winner cannot be contacted, does not meet clause 5.2 or 5.3, or does not claim the prize by that time, the prize will be awarded to the next-best Entry as determined by the judges.
8.4 The iPad will be delivered to an Australian address nominated by the winner within four weeks of the prize being claimed.
9. Use of Entries
9.1 By entering, entrants grant the Promoter a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use their Entry in de-identified form, with no entrant or centre named, for research, content and marketing purposes.
9.2 The Promoter will not publish an Entry with the entrant’s or centre’s name attached, or in a way that allows the entrant or centre to be identified, without the entrant’s prior written consent.
10. Privacy
10.1 The Promoter collects entrants’ personal information to run the competition, verify eligibility and contact the winner.
10.2 Personal information will be handled in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy at https://www.quickcarehr.com/privacy, which explains how to access or correct personal information and how to make a complaint.
10.3 The Promoter will use entrants’ contact details only to administer the competition, unless an entrant separately consents to receive marketing communications by ticking the opt-in box on the entry form. Opting in is not required to enter.
10.4 Entries that do not include the required information cannot be accepted.
11. General
11.1 The Promoter may disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, breaches these terms, or acts unlawfully or improperly.
11.2 If the competition is affected by anything beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control, the Promoter may modify, suspend or cancel the competition, subject to any applicable law.
11.3 Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11.4 Except where caused by its negligence, the Promoter is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the competition or the prize.
11.5 These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales.
